This is my favorite Etude House lip product yet! It's the only product that I've been able to successfully and easily pull off the gradient look on my lips. Other lip products require my lips to be perfectly exfoliated, moisturized, AND even plumped a bit (because my lips are horrible DX) and I usually have to use more than one product to get the effect. It smells and tastes like strawberries and has a jam-like texture, but isn't sticky. Plus, it's my first berry color, and I've discovered that it suits me super well! It also stays on really well. It's kind of like a mixture of a lip tint and liquid lipstick. And the packaging is super adorable, as usual for Etude House
I will post about, salsa, bachata, beauty, fashion, photography, and life in Japan. I want to share everything that I find to be interesting, beautiful, and fun. I studied Theatre Costuming and Japanese, graduated from WVU in Morgantown West Virginia, and moved to Tokyo in 2017 to pursue my many dreams. I studied abroad in Nagoya at Kinjo Gakuin University in 2011 and you can read about that in my older posts here. I currently work as an English teacher using theatre.

Review: Etude House High Cheeks Bling me Prism Look at My Eyes in Noon Sun #RD303
Here's one of the items I got from the Etude House in Harajuku! I never really took an interest in their eye shadows until these ones came out. They seem to be more pigmented and glittery than their other eye shadows, which is why I was attracted to them! It wasn't broken when I got it, not sure what happened (my purse probably), but it's definitely still usable
I got pictures of it in the sun, with flash, and indoor lighting
And a wet and dry swatch with flash and without
Isn't it pretty?? =D I want to try the other colors!

Look of the Day: Liz Lisa and Red Lips
It's 90 degrees today, so I thought a nice cool Liz Lisa dress would be a good idea! Necklace is Angelic Pretty. The lips were inspired from this Youtube video by Taylor R. I would have worn more makeup, but it was soooo hot, I'm surprised the lips lasted this long! Pictures taken by Takeru ❤ It was super windy and hot, and we had to dodge cicadas DX

New Etude House Stuff + My Whole Collection!
So, I went to the new Etude House store in Harajuku over spring break, like I planned, and got a few new things for my Etude House collection! It's definitely one of my top favorite brands. It has the best lip products, super cute packaging, it always smells nice, and it's so inexpensive!
I'll do reviews of each one separately later, but here's my new additions to the collection!
And my whole current Etude House collection

Blog: Japan Day 3 Part 2: Harajuku and Shinjuku
Of course I couldn't not go here at least once! It was only a very quick trip, since I have been here before many times. It was nice to see these places I haven't been in so long, and be reminded that it wasn't just a dream!
I went to the new Harajuku Etude House
And here's just random quick pictures
I know this isn't particularly interesting to you guys, but I got to revisit the first conbini I ever went to when I first went to Japan, in Harajuku! XD
Anyway, after that, we headed to Shinjuku to meet some of Takeru's friends for drinks at an izakaya. We hit some pretty rough rush hour traffic on the Yamanote line...
Can you find Godzilla?
This is the inside of the izakaya! It was called: 磯丸水産 (Isomarusuisan)
And here comes the food porn...
Japanese alcohol is the best!
After that, we went to karaoke and ate ramen, but I was a little drunk and didn't take pictures of it XD That's all for that day!

Review: Etude House Color Lips-Fit Lip Tint Wanna Fit Orange (OR202)
I've had this for a little while and I got it from Etude House in Japan. I was going through a little bit of a phase/obsession with orange lip color at that time. XD Anyway, this stuff is more like a liquid lipstick than a tint, as it's called, but instead of going from wet to dry, like liquid lipsticks tend to do, it goes from sort of oily-wet to a smooth, powdery dry. I like how it's not like can't-move-your-mouth-dry, like liquid lipsticks sometimes feel. It's very pigmented, and it smells like grapes! A few different Etude House lip products that I have smell like grapes, actually. I love the texture of this stuff, but the color can only be worn with a few outfit/makeup combos for me. Definitely not my everyday color, but I like having even hard to use colors for me, because then I can get creative! I definitely want to get this in another color!
| Sorry, I messed it up before it dried a little bit! |

Blog: My little taste of Seoul, South Korea
On the way back to America from my study abroad in Japan, I specifically picked a flight with a 14 hour layover in Seoul, Korea starting at 10pm. I fell asleep on the train back to the airport and missed the sun rising though! I'm not one to regret things, but I regret not seeing the tiny bit of daytime in Korea that I had the chance to see. It's definitely true that the biggest word people use in saying what they regret is "not"!
Very first impression, it was kind of muggy and smoggy. Maybe it's always like that, or maybe just that night? You can kind of see it in the pictures.
So we went to Myeongdong, and I started with some fast shopping, as everything was closing within the hour. Something really cool I noticed was how in every shop we went in, the shop workers would greet everyone who came in in their own languages! I heard greetings in English to us, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese! And of course I was super excited to see Etude House, even though I had gone to one in Japan. These ones were so cute! And I counted like 6 all within short walking distance of each other. I also got to see other Korean makeup brand stores
After all of the shops closed, we wandered, and went to eat Korean BBQ and it was sooooo amazing!
Finally we went to karaoke, because we didn't really know what else to do or where to go that late. It was definitely different than karaoke in Japan. They didn't have as many songs, and I had trouble navigating the machine thingy, but then again, I don't know any Korean. I think they had less songs too.
This definitely isn't really a good clear picture of Seoul, but it was my first little taste! Not too bad for the last hour of shops being open, and a bit of the night life. I really wish I would have taken more pictures! I can't wait to go back in the future and see more!
