Blog: Japan Day 2, Part 2: Shimokitazawa

Takeru said that I would love Shimokitazawa, and he was so right!  It might be my favorite place to shop in Japan so far.  There were so many secondhand and vintage stores there.  Of course there will always be a special place in my heart for Harajuku and Shibuya for shopping ♡

I even spotted a little bit of lolita there!

I found two Gunne Sax dresses at this store! This was one of my favorite secondhand stores for sure.  Really cheap and absolutely full of  cool clothes

After shopping, we went to a game center in Shimokitazawa to do purikura and play some games!

Japan definitely knows what a girly-girl like me wants and needs ♡ This little makeup corner is for getting pretty for purikura.  Lots of girl's bathrooms even have extra mirror sections specifically for doing makeup.  Some purikura places have some costumes that you can wear for the pictures too!

Also, in the purikura section of game centers, boys aren't even allowed unless accompanied by girl.  So, yes to cute purikura with boyfriends, but no creepy lurker guys! ♡

It was exciting to use my Nesica card thingy again and access my old account!

One of my favorite games!  He still beat me though....
I couldn't figure out how to change my thingy from being fries...also I did horribly, but I was so happy they had this song!

This is probably the best I've ever done at this game!
Before leaving Shimokitazawa and heading to an izakaya to meet Takeru's coworkers, we ran into one more cute, literally hole-in-the-wall, store that was having a going out of business sale, and we haggled the price down on a skirt from $150 all the way to $60!

Matcha flavored Baileys! One of the things that I wanted to try while I was in Japan. I was lucky to find it on the menu here.

What all I drank....
And that ends day 2 after a quick ride back home sitting on the back of Takeru's bicycle!

Cat Cafe, Osu Trip, and Hanging with friends

So many things I need to post!!

My hair is now pink and orange =] I think my soul was becoming sad because I didn't have colorful hair for a while...better now!

♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡

I went to my first maid cafe called Maidreamin! Next on the list is a cat cafe with Belinda ( <--Link to her blog) and Emily where you can eat and pet kitties <3 Edit: Not EAT kitties, eat food and pet kitties...

Cat cafe!

I wore cat ears and a whole kitty inspired outfit in the hopes they would accept me as one of their own...as you can see, it didn't go quite as planned =[
This little guy was pretty chill till he got bored of us.

This chocolate cake was warm with chocolate goo inside and sooooo good!
How to become instantly popular with the kitties - food.

And now for all of the kitties!

Marshmallow kitty!

And I was able to catch a few videos too!

I went to a festival in Osu with some of my friends, then later to an izakaya.

Recent Adventures

Finally on Christmas break!! Sorry, I haven't been updating a lot lately, but my schedule just kept getting busier until break finally started, and now I'm just sitting around watching anime! I have a whole lot of new things to post about though!

Me, Emily, and Justin went and did Christmas costume purikura, and explored more of Osu! They had other costumes to choose from too, like maid costumes and cosplay costumes.

We also explored some more stores around Osu.

And we ate at the Japanese version of Denny's. Nothing like American Denny's, but still very good! I had a fried burger patty with cheese, curry sauce, and rice, melon soda, and pancakes for dessert.

And some other stuff. I finally found some blonde hair dye, and a bunch of cute bags at a department store.

My friend Mako let my try on her furisode and yukata =D She also made very yummy food! That was such a fun night! I hope we hang out again soon <3

I've also been watching Mermaid Melody. I love it, it's so cute! I love Kaito and Lucia's relationship <3 I've just gotten to the second season and it's so sad! I can almost feel Lucia's pain in every episode. I hope her situation gets better so I can stop being sad after watching/wanna keep watching till 5am! >_<

I always fall so much in love with magical girl animes! >_< ♡ Does anyone have any suggestions of other magical girl animes for me when I'm sad and lonely because Mermaid Melody is over? Here's some of my favorite songs from it so far.
