I think I'm going to start blogging again

Hey guys, long time no blog!

So I've kind of stopped blogging for a few years, shortly after I returned from my study abroad in Japan. I was recently reading my lovely friend Mo's blog, and it sparked my urge to blog again!

 I’ve been working a lot on YouTube, so I haven’t been totally gone. I’m going to try to post some blog posts about my YouTube videos do you can read more in depth about my adventures, and I can add some photos in. Since I'd started making videos, I kind of didn't so much feel like I needed blogging as an outlet anymore, but I frequently go back here to find stuff and remind myself of my study abroad experience or find old pictures, and I kind of miss it. 

I also want to have a bit more of a diary kind of thing like I used to. It’s kind of nice to type things out than just saying them on video because I can be more clear here. I guess I’ve realized that I may have seasonal depression because every year around this time is when I lose my creative spark, work (which I actually like) starts to get me down, and I can feel the pressure to do more with my life without the time or energy to make it happen! But I remember that there definitely are times where I’m full of energy, seeing friends constantly, photo shooting, going out to see cool Japan stuff and flowers, and I thought, oh that’s because it was warm outside! It doesn’t get as cold here as it did in WV and NY, but I still would rather be sweating in the extreme Tokyo (or even Kumagaya) heat, than even just a little bit cold. I haven’t even been dressing up fashionably very often, and I realized that’s because of the cold too. I hate to be cold, so in the chilly mornings, I always opt for the layers of warm over the cute skirts. 

I’ve been really building my Liz Lisa collection lately using Mercari (Japanese secondhand sales app) and constantly checking out thrift stores (so also I haven’t spent more than ¥2000/$20 on any of my Liz Lisa items) and I really want to wear them, but it’s just not the season yet. When it was still a bit warm in the fall, I really started to dive into modeling, but then the winter hit and I haven’t been so much into it (plus work and shooting outside in cold is hard). I really want to dive back into it in spring with the cherry blossoms! I’m going to see as many flowers as possible, I want to FILL my Instagram feeds with flowers! They make me happy and I am so ridiculously excited for them!

Lately I've been playing around a lot more with photography. My passions I guess change in waves, but always alternate between Youtube vlogging, photography, modeling, fashion, and music related things. Oh, and I started swing dancing again, but that's gonna be its own whole post I think.

Anyway, I think for this blog I’ll just post whatever, whenever. It’ll be less orderly than my YouTube, though I kind of do the same for YouTube anyway. I still have a tiny glimmer of hope that my YouTube might somehow start to make me a little extra side money though XD But that’s not my goal, my goal is to have fun and have my own video diary of my life while possibly helping out someone traveling or moving to Japan in the process! My blog will be more personal, when I can go back and see more of my deeper thoughtful about my day. Then twitter is my quick thought diary!

Diary: Fun Night and Vlog?

I want to write a post about two nights ago, even though I didn't take any pictures, it was really fun!

Me and Takeru both are very stressed and having different issues with getting ready for school coming up, so we went for a Pokemon hunt at like 2am. We stopped at Sheetz to get jalapeno poppers and pepperoni rolls because we both love them, and they don't exist in Japan as far as we know.  After that, we walked the trail and went to this one area that has three Pokestops that ALWAYS have lures on them (close to water so easy Magikarp farming) and stayed there from like 3am until almost 5am. We caught so much! There was also a meteor shower going on (for a few days), and I saw a really big one, the biggest I've ever seen! It was so bright! Then when we were walking back, there was a small thing that looked like a star moving really slowly...maybe too slow to be a meteor? It would light up for a few seconds and then disappear for a few seconds, and it was sort of irregular. It definitely wasn't a plane because of the irregularity and it looked exactly like a star. Maybe a ufo? Haha, it was interesting XD After we got home, we used one of  my Lush bath bombs and took a nice bath.

So I tried out making a vlog recently....I just hated the way my face looked while I was talking DX Maybe I'll feel more confident when I get closer to my weight loss goal? Idk, weight wasn't the thing I thought looked bad, but I can't really change the way I look when I talk, so maybe fixing what I can fix will make me not think about that so much XD Also, there isn't a whole lot for me to vlog about at this time. If I finally do start, they will be few and far between at first. I'll only post if I have a really interesting idea, or if I travel or do something really cool, or maybe even try doing a lookbook and closet tour sort of thing.  Actually, I might have a few clips from my first time in Japan that I could make into something. Also when Arianna comes back into town, she'll maybe do video stuff with me =) She has a little more experience than I do at least. I know that I definitely want to do vlogging in Japan, because everything is new, fun, and interesting for me there, so I need to at least learn how it works while I'm here!

I'm a mix of excited for school (reason to dress up cute and I'll see all of my friends again) and dreading it (having to figure out my schedule, financial aid, homework, talking with advisers and teachers, plus working a lot this semester to save money, and getting ready to graduate). I'm going to try to finish a lot of review posts now since I won't have as much time to blog.

Diary: Ramblings and Plans

I really love blogging and modeling.  Lately, I think they have become my main passions.  Well of course still fashion, and obviously Japan, since that's where I want to pursue modeling and blog about the most.  I'm considering looking into some modeling agencies in Japan sooner rather than later, so I'm going to really try to better myself this summer, starting with losing some weight!  I've already started exercising every day a few days ago, so I have to keep it up!

I've been inspired by Dakota Rose, Taylor R, and ArisuCookie so much lately!  And missing Japan a lot too.  I feel like I'm just waiting to start my dreams.  Everything that I want to do can't happen until I can go to Japan, which requires graduating, lots of money, school applications or job options, getting rid of so much of my stuff, and for modeling, my body has to be the best it can be.  Learning Japanese is on that list too DX 

Ahhhh there's just so many little things I have to do first...

Anyway, for my blog now, I was thinking about doing a tour of my closet, because I finally have a walk in closet big enough to hold all my clothes!  Plus that's motivation for me to finish cleaning it...

I'm also considering starting to do a little bit of vlogging, but I don't want to start a youtube (aka whole other social media to pay attention to, work on, and get followers for).  Plus I know very little about video editing, and I'm sure when life starts to get busy and stressful again, I won't be able to keep up as easily as I can with just blogging.  I might just post them on here, if I do.  Still not sure if I want to though.  I might test it out for the closet tour post.

One other post I'm thinking of starting up is an occasional music post for those times I go on a new music searching binge through Youtube

Aaaand my best friend Arianna is coming to visit me tomorrow!!  She went home to her family for the summer, so that's where she's been.  She'll be going to Hong Kong for the rest of the summer in less than 10 days, so I'm so glad I'll get to see her before she leaves!  We're planning on both wearing cat-themed outfits, since we both have a lot of cat-themed clothes and accessories, and I'll definitely do a blog post about it!

And last but not least, I've been working on an Amazon wishlist since my birthday is coming up on August 4th, and now I'm gonna shamelessly post it here =D
