Review: Too Faced Melted Matte in Candy Cane

I've always loved how cute this brand is, but since it's a bit pricey, I've never owned anything from it until now!  I was so excited because I went into Sephora planning to get something from Too Faced (plus their lip plumper I'd been wanting for a while) and their limited edition holiday Melted Matte just happened to be there and the perfect reddish-pink shade for me! I got their Lip Injection lip plumper too, which I will also review.

As much as I would like to love matte lip products, my lips are just horribly dry and hate matte lipsticks. This one is definitely better than others I've tried, as long as I prep my lips well and use their plumper before.  It doesn't dry sticky and hard like other liquid lipsticks do, it has the texture of a regular matte, non-liquid lipstick when it dries.  I absolutely love the peppermint mocha scent!  In general I love how Too Faced adds fun scents to their makeup.  This lipstick also has a sweet flavor.  On the ingredients list, it has extract from the stevia plant, which is also used to make sweeteners, so I guess that's why! I love the little fun additions like the sweetness, scent, and cute packaging.

Also, I would like to add that this color matches my Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bachelorette almost perfectly (yes I really do like this shade of pink on me XD)!  Slightly different textures though. The Kat Von D one lasts longer but is a bit more drying. Also I just love the scent of the Too Faced one XD

Another Pittsburgh Trip

It was another double date, but this time with Misaki and Joe about a month ago!

First we went to the Ross Park Mall so I could show it to Misaki, and in the makeup section of Macy's (I think that was where we were) a Japanese lady who worked there came up to Misaki and started talking to her! She seemed excited to be meeting other Japanese people, and to be able to speak her own language while she was at work. She and another girl who worked there complemented my Japanese inspired style (I was wearing a cute Gunne Sax dress)

After that, there was this fancy chocolate stand, and they were giving out free samples of whatever you wanted to try, and the lady gave a small piece and was advertising how you only need a small piece to fully appreciate the flavor of this chocolate, so I jokingly said, 'Oh, I bet I could still eat the whole thing!' cuz I'm a fatty who loves sweet things too much, and she said that I should just go eat a Snickers...whatever pretentious chocolate lady, I was just trying to make conversation and joke a bit XD It was good, but I didn't want to buy any after that...

Sooooo we went to Sweets From Heaven and got a bunch of candy there! They had all kinda of different gummies, and a whole section with different Japanese candy.

And then we went to the Ramen Bar! Someday I will try the other restaurants on that street...

Gyoza! Their dipping sauce was wrong though DX

Curry ramen
Ajo (garlic) ramen

We did go to a cute Korean bakery in the same area called Pink Box because I always want macarons and they were open late on Sunday XD They actually said that I couldn't take pictures, and I didn't realize, but then they said it was ok.

Then we ended the night with a trip to the Mt. Washington Overlook

Morgantown Halloween 2016

Hello! I have some posts from a while ago that I still am working on, but I wanted to post my Halloween post not too long after Halloween, since I told some people about my blog when I took their pictures.

Some of my closest friends I met in Japan visited me recently (their first time in WV), and I want to post about that soon too!

♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡❤♡

I worked my university job the first part of the weekend, so here are some pictures I took of students passing by!  I also briefly stopped by the Japanese club's party because it was in the same building as work.  Some of these are my friends and some are just strangers whose costumes I thought were cool!

They were giving out candy, and gave me some when I took their picture!

And my own bunny maid costume from Bodyline

Then I took Saturday off because it was my turn to party at Arianna's!

I have the cutest friends ♡

And here's the makeup I did for Takeru's cool skeleton costume
