Diary: Japanese Friends from Nagoya Visit!

This was actually right before Halloween...anyway, my friends from my share house adventures in Nagoya came to visit America!

They came mostly to see New York, but since WV is so close by, they stayed with me for a few days!  They made my time in Japan amazing, so I wanted to try my best to show them the best of Morgantown.  They also brought a bunch of snacks and stuff for me from Japan!

First we had a little welcome party, introduced them to some friends, and I showed them around WVU's campus, then they did some exploring by themselves. They said WVU's campus was like a movie XD

Of course I showed them some of my favorite food places.  I had class for part of the time, so they also went to eat at some other places that I recommended without me.  I took them to Chico's Fat, the Morgantown Brewing Company, and the Cupcakerie

I hope they had a lot of fun, and I look forward to seeing them again in Japan!

Morgantown Halloween 2016

Hello! I have some posts from a while ago that I still am working on, but I wanted to post my Halloween post not too long after Halloween, since I told some people about my blog when I took their pictures.

Some of my closest friends I met in Japan visited me recently (their first time in WV), and I want to post about that soon too!

I worked my university job the first part of the weekend, so here are some pictures I took of students passing by!  I also briefly stopped by the Japanese club's party because it was in the same building as work.  Some of these are my friends and some are just strangers whose costumes I thought were cool!

Blog: Cheat River Trip with Misaki

Ahhhh so many posts I'm behind on D= Stupid school getting in the way of fun... Anyway, this summer day was so much fun! I better post it before it gets too cold outside XD

My friend Misaki was allowed to invite one friend to come with her to her host family's Labor Day Cheat River picnic, so she asked me!

We wandered around the lake and took pictures of each other, nature, and wildlife.  We found a frog, a butterfly, buckeyes, wild flowers, maybe a tomato plant, tadpoles, and a turtle and I taught her many new English words

We also played with and helped the kids collect snails and whatever else they found in the water

Then we had food and smores!

And last but not least, they let me DRIVE (not just ride) a four wheeler! I have been on one once before in high school (a horrible, gross, muddy experience that I felt was a required thing to try in WV) but I never thought anyone would let me drive one! I don't even have a driver's license! Anyway, it was fun and no one died, and I'm glad Misaki got to at least have this experience while she's here XD
