Makeup and helping with Stamen for the Campus Film Festival!

I figured this would be a good time to post since it's nearing Halloween =] Actually, around now, I'll be helping other friends with makeup, and I'm taking an advanced theatre makeup class, so there will be a few more theatre-makeup related posts coming up!

My friend Josh entered the Campus Film Festival, and asked me to be one of his makeup artists for his short film called Stamen!  Here's a few behind the scenes pictures from shooting, and pictures of the makeups I did.  The first day of shooting, I was a bit rusty, since I hadn't really done any kind of theatrical makeup since more than a year before, so don't judge too hard >_<, but the second day's turned out a lot better! I even had to step in as an actor! Luckily I didn't have to do any talking or anything XD

First up, pix of the super creepy location! An abandoned elementary school...

And here's what I did on the first day....

And from the last day. A lot better than the first, right? I think so XD

I had an amazing time helping out with Stamen! We had such a great, talented, dedicated, fun group of people.

Hehe, I took a really good selfie XD

Here's our lovely director/film...er? Josh Davis!!

We had a few technical difficulties when entering, so it wasn't actually entered in to win the big prize, though it did appear on the website, so we still do have a chance to win something if you would take a second to watch and vote for us please!! =] He worked very hard on this, and put it before everything, even food and sleep, so please help us out!

Thank you!! =D

Japanese Fashion Photo Shoot with Yenra and Friends!

久しぶりです!♡ I finally had a bit of free time during fall break! Last weekend, me and some friends had a photo shoot with the amazing photographer Yenra, who I first shot with around the end of the summer last year before I went to Japan. We were both excited to finally get to do a shoot together, especially with all the amazing new additions to my wardrobe! =D

I'll start with a few close-up outfit pix from my first outfit! We forgot to get any for the other outfits though =P

Back in America!

Well I've arrived back in West Virginia safely and started up school. I'm going to finally be able to post about some of the cool things I've been up to in Japan, like my trip to Okinawa, and my 14 hour layover in Korea which was amazing, and some other stuff I've been meaning to post, once my life settles down a bit.

For the future, I'm thinking about maybe doing some posts about WVU fashion, like WVU street fashion (if I can get over my shyness to ask to take people's pictures) and maybe some reviews of local shops and what-not. What do you guys think about these ideas? :) I'm going to be doing more photo shoots, and already have some planned. I feel like it's going to be easier and more comfortable to start getting more into my fashion, designing, and my blog now that I'm back and full of inspiration from Japan, but in a place where I'm comfortable and familiar.

Review: Laline Body Lotion

Ok, I've gotta share this product with the world. I don't even know how to review something like this since you can't really capture in pictures what it does. If you know me well, you probably know that I've always been obsessed with body lotions and creams. Like, I love them, and I have sooo many, like from Victoria's Secret, Bath and Body Works and more, in so many different scents! Soooo when I was in Harajuku, I went into this store called Laline. OMG, everything that I tested in there smelled amazing!

I bought their body lotion in Cherry Blossom. This is probably the best smelling stuff that I own (plus now the smell is forever linked with my travels around Japan). It was so hard to decide which one! Anyway, this stuff makes my skin feel soft like no other. It's definitely the best lotion that I own, and I want more! 5 stars all the way! I just looked them up online and was happy to find that they have a US version of their site so I'll be able to order it even when I'm not in Japan. :) I'll post that and the Japanese version of it here.

Dressing up Friends in Lolita!

Me and Emily decided to put our lolita wardrobes together, and dress our non-lolita friends up! Most of the outfits were put together by Emily.  Here are the results...

First of all, just a picture of all the prettiness! If you know me or have been following this blog long enough, you know which is Emily's half and which is mine XD (If you don't, mine's the half with a lot of pink and ruffly stuff! Also the slightly smaller half as I'm newer to lolita.)

My side

And then this dress of Emily's because it's pretty

Chloe! She is not allowed to say she doesn't do "cute" anymore

Belinda! I think we've made her fall in love with lolita =] First is a picture of just her face cuz her makeup was very pretty

Laura! Totally not her style at all so this was very interesting to see =] The first look is the closest to her style, the second one is the most ridiculously sweet thing we could come up with XD

Me! I picked very simple pieces from Emily's wardrobe to change it up a bit from my usual style. I've discovered that classic lolita is just not me and might never be XD It was fun to give it a try. I do love that purple Alice and the Pirates skirt though <3

And here are a few group pictures
