Look of the Day: My Week in Tokyo

So, I realized I wore Gunne Sax dresses almost everyday I was in Japan XD (except for the last day at Yunessun, where I was wearing swimwear for most of the day, and my new Liz Lisa dress).  Here's my quick day-by-day Look of the Day outfits in Japan!

Blog: Japan Day 5 Part 1: Vintage Stores in Koenji

I took a little break from my Japan blog posts because of the bunch of modeling I've been up to lately, and I didn't have wifi at home, but I do now! =D

On this day, we were really feeling the time limit start to affect what we wanted to do =/  I'm going to try to post links to the stores' websites/Instagram pages if I follow or can find them, sort of like a Koenji shopping guide!

We began by trying a type of ramen made with milk that is one of Takeru's favorites at a place called Ramen Manpuku (ラーメン万福).  Actually the first message he ever sent me on Line was a picture of this ramen and him telling me about it XD So I was really excited to finally try it (even though it sounded so strange).  It was so good!  I think it's my favorite ramen so far.

I just did a google search of this place to see if they had a website or anything (they do not) and found that RocketNews24 (really cool blog/news about Japan) did an article about it!  I'm surprised since I wasn't able to find out much about it online, and according to Takeru, it's not a super popular place except for with ramen fanatics.

After we ate, we rushed through the vintage clothing stores.  We spent some time in the first store called Comyu, and talked to the girl who works there, and she goes to the school that I want to go to!  The store is so cute and has a lot of Gunne Sax dresses!

Then this store I follow on Instagram! I didn't even realize when I went there until after XD I can't find if they have a website though...

And here's another one that I didn't realize I followed on Instagram already when I went inside.  They had sooooo many Gunne Sax dresses in this one!  It's called Aileen by GrogGrog

This one I couldn't find a website for, but they have a Facebook page.  It's so bright and colorful!

This one is called Tatouage by Zool.  I didn't get a chance to go inside unfortunately DX But you guys better believe next time/when I live in Tokyo, I'm gonna explore and blog so hard and in detail about everything I can find here!

And last but not least, the shop I had been planning to go to ever since I discovered it by accident on Instagram a while ago, Fizz! It's actually right above Tatouage. They have a huge, beautiful selection of Gunne Sax dresses!  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to buy any at that time.  They were pricier ones, but for good reason as they were the nicest dresses, good condition, and well taken care of!  I will definitely be visiting this store in the future :D

Japan: Mini Photo Shoots

First, I just had to take a few pictures of Takeru taking a smoke break in his natural habitat while we were in Shimokitazawa

And then he took my camera and got some of me at a Shinto shrine on the way back to the station!  I took some pictures of him here too.  This is definitely one of the things I love about Japan.  Just scattered all around the new cities, buildings, homes, trains, and hustle and bustle, you can literally just walk into the past.  These shrines range in sizes, and most of them aren't huge, famous, and full of people.

We got our little fortuney things, and I got the best one you can get! Takeru just got the regular one though XD I'll have to have enough luck for the both of us I suppose

The feeling at one of these shrines is similar to the calm, kind of peaceful feeling you'd get going into a church, or a beautiful naturey place.  Whether or not religion plays a role, churches, shrines, and nature do have that kind of feeling, I think.   It's really interesting to me, that a Catholic church in America, a Shinto shrine in Japan, and some beautiful natural wonder anywhere in the world can all have the same kind of feeling.  Just have respect and love for all religions, people, and nature is what I believe!

Blog: Japan Day 3 Part 1: Shimokitazawa and Italian Food

We went to Shimokitazawa again, because there was so much more to see still, and I loved it so much the first day!

This place was called the Garage Department, and it was a bunch of mini stores selling secondhand, vintage, and handmade clothes and accessories, kind of like a flea market!

I got an Axes Femme dress and an Anna Sui earring from here! I think I will make a post with more details and pictures of what all I got and where from. Unfortunately it might have to be mostly Iphone pictures because of my stolen camera though DX [link to post with that story here] I'll try to look at it as an artistic challenge... I want my camera! DX

This store had a lot of Gunne Sax dresses! I will also have a more detailed post about Gunne Sax in Japan, with maybe some links to their websites and pictures from inside the stores. ;)

After that, we took the train a few stations away to eat at an Italian restaurant where Takeru used to work
