Review: Lush in Ross Park Mall

So I think this is the nearest Lush to me unless there's another one in Pittsburgh, but this is the one we ended up at during our Pittsburgh adventures! The only other time I went to the Ross Park Mall was my freshman year when I was briefly a fashion major, we took a trip here. This was actually the first Lush store I ever saw, but I knew nothing about it at that time.

♡❤♡❤♡

The main reason I wanted to go to Lush was because of the Rosy Cheeks mask I've been wanting to try! I LOVE rose anything, and the other Lush masks I've tried before were awesome. But, the masks can only be bought in store because they need to be kept refrigerated

Then of course I wanted more stuff from Lush because I can't get only one thing...so bath bomb! Takeru said he wanted to see a really sparkly one, since I'd been going for the really colorful ones, or ones I'd already tried and wanted to show him. My first thought was Dragon's Egg, since I used that one before and it was an explosion of gold sparkles, and a citrusy scent I thought he might like, but they were out. So I asked the (awesome) lady (with pink hair, lavender lips, who recognized that my phone case was from Liz Lisa and asked about where I got it XD) what she recommended as far as glittery bath bombs go. First she said Twilight, which I still have waiting for me at home in my bathroom, and then Frozen which I'm reading about online now, and it also has rose oil in it! It doesn't right away smell very rosy, but maybe it will in the water. It does smell a little bit floral though

Then he also got me the Milky Bath bubble bar! It smells sort of like citrusy laundry detergent, but I mean that in the best way possible. Like really refreshing and clean smelling. The tip of it has silver glitter. Unfortunatly, it got a little banged up on the journey back

I might start to try to do separate posts with pictures of Lush products in use, if I can remember at the time I use them XD

Review: Victoria's Secret Lip Gloss in Lemonshine and Hydrating Body Lotion in Rose

Yaaaayyyyy Victoria's Secret sales!! XD One of my favorite things about the end of the Christmas and summer seasons is the super amazing Victoria's Secret sales!

♡❤♡❤♡

Anyway, first is the lip gloss! It's just a typical lip gloss, like the ones everyone loved in middle/high school. It's a bit sticky and thick, and I haven't really been into lip gloss for years, but it smells and tastes just like a lemon pound cake! I like it when I'm craving sweets, but don't want to actually eat them XD I like that it looks bright yellow and has lots of gold glitter, but the color doesn't show up on lips. Just clear, sweet flavored sparkles. Also, I love the cute little key chain, and it was on sale for only $2! (originally $12)

Then, I saw this lotion a few months ago when I was window shopping at Victoria's Secret from this I guess, fairly new line of theirs called Hydrating Body Lotion Cotton Moisture Complex.  I think they used to use this cotton complex formula thing with their Pink lotions, then they quit doing it, and I think cutting that ingredient changed it, so I didn't really like it as much anymore. I was super excited to see that they brought it back! I like lotions for more than just smell; I want them to make my skin feel nice, and this stuff definitely does that! The only one in this line that is on sale is the rose scent (which was my favorite and the one I've been wanting to get) but that's because it's being discontinued. Luckily it always takes me forever to get through a bottle of lotion XD If I didn't really need to save money now, I would have gotten two. The only other amazing lotion I've ever found and loved was from Laline. Anyway, it's originally $18, but was on sale for 75% off and ended up being only $4.20!

Blog: Japan Day 2, Part 1: Around the Area

This day, Takeru showed me around his neighborhood and where he used to go to school.  We even went to some playgrounds he used to play at when he was younger!

This river has lots of cherry blossom trees, but they were just barely starting to bloom.

I thought this was a really cool, interesting story to share that Takeru told me!  Takaido Junior High School was given roses by Anne Frank's father after they sent him their impressions after reading Anne Frank's Diary, and they took care of them and they can be still seen growing here! Here's a link to an article about it that I found, but the link is kinda weird so I hope it works...

I love flowers, and reading Anne Frank's Diary in middle school is what inspired me to keep a diary for many years, which may have even led to why I enjoy blogging so much now!  I'm very forgetful about things that happen in my life (I don't like it, it scares me sometimes), and I love taking pictures, and sharing all of the things that I love and find interesting.  I'm not too fond of writing, but when it comes to memories that I'm trying to keep and/or share with others, the words just flow so easily for me. Anyway, here's the rose plant, not in bloom yet of course

菜の花 (field mustard flowers)

We stopped at a department store that had a little pet store inside it too XD

Then we went to Takeru's favorite ramen restaurant called Makotoya.  You first order and pay for your food using this machine thingy, like many restaurants use.

Then food porn!

I ate everything....it was tonkotsu ramen, which I hadn't had since the last time I was in Japan!  It's not very common or easy to find in America unfortunately

The guys who worked there were nice enough to let me get a picture with them too!

I think that's all I'll include in this post, but this day didn't end there! I'm going to break this post up into two since this one is already so big and I still have a lot more.
