Look of the Day: 2

I got pictures of the makeup, not really the whole outfit, but this was for dinner with friends!  I feel like my makeup was just really on point that night.

Lens Review: Dolly Eye Segoi-Pearl Prime Brown

These are the Dolly Eye Segoi Pearl Prime Brown Contacts!  I discovered contacts like these a few years ago, (called Showmix, or maybe that was the brand's name) but the website I found them on didn't have them in prescription, and then I could never find them again.  I also couldn't find many reviews of them.  After years of searching online and even in contact stores in Japan, I finally found these ones just like the ones I found from before, but from a different brand.  They are glittery!  Like actually glitter! I'm so happy I was able to find these again, since I have been looking for so long.  

They are less comfortable than other contacts.  Sometimes my eyes feel really dry or they're only comfortable for a few hours before I need to take them out.

The only problem with them is that one is noticeably sparklier than the other one, and it bothers me a bit. I thought that one of them was maybe inside out, but it definitely wasn't after I looked at it up close.  I still really love these though, and want to try another color!

Review: Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lip in Electric Pink

Soooooo since I liked this in red so much, I wanted to try another color! I like the formula and I REALLY love how bright these colors are! Drugstore makeup usually doesn't catch my eye so much because I feel like all the colors I've already seen before a million times, by every brand, or are meant to be for simple, everyday kind of looks.  There are only 10 colors right now, but I want almost all of them!  There's even a bright purple. Maybelline has some pretty bright colored lipsticks too, and I have 2 purples that I'll review someday.  Maybe this is my favorite drugstore lip brand? 

Anyway, this is Electric Pink, and it's amazingly bright! Like I said about the red....

I've read a lot of bad reviews about this stuff, but I like it! It's not really matte, is more like an almost matte lip gloss.  It has a buttery feel to it, and a strong sweet smell, that you can taste a little bit. Sort of annoying, but the amazing color makes up for it. Though, it doesn't dry like most liquid to matte lipsticks do.

Shopping Finds: Salvation Army, Morgantown

Secondhand and thrift shopping is definitely my favorite kind! I've discovered so many new favorite brands, and learned an ability to be able to sometimes be able to tell an article of clothing's brand from afar before even looking at the tag. Most of the shopping I did while I was in Japan was the same.  Plus, prices are awesome, as long as you don't mind wearing something someone else has worn before

I'll start with shoes!  

While I have lots of nice high heels, they aren't very practical for everyday use, as much as I want them to be X(  So, I've been looking for cute, but everyday wearable shoes.  These are obviously better for spring/summer though.  Oh, and they're Korean!  I can't believe I found them at the Salvation army here!

And next are a nice pair of Converse!  I used to have a pair, but I wore them to death.  These are a little bit more appropriate for everyday and cooler weather.  Plus, I have a lot of pink and black in my wardrobe

AND THEN I FOUND MY MOST FAVORITEST PERFUME!!! Yes, the bottles are both more than half empty, but I paid $2 for each, and I have been wanting these for so long, especially the green one.  Way better than the like $60 for a full bottle

There's a Plato's Closet opening in Morgantown soon, and they're already collecting clothes! I think I'll bring some of mine there soon :)

This was one of the most fun photo shoots I've ever done, with amazing new friends! I feel like since I've met these girls, I can be completely me and talk about anything and I've just met them all not too long ago! I feel like I've been more artistic lately, and motivated to do what I love ♡  I'm so thankful to have been able to meet them and look forward to when we can all collaborate again!  It's also so nice to be around other girly girls! XD I haven't felt this good in a while.  So I guess I've already completed a New Years resolution? =D This soon?!

My Favorite Gachapon!

Last time I was in Japan, I discovered something amazing.  I love food, cute things, animals, and parrots, and leave it to Japan to combine all of those things together and make yet another dream of mine come true! >_< 

These little Gachapon guys!!! They come from vending machines with little toys, key chains, and figures inside like this:

There are many new ones that have come out since I've left Japan, and I want to collect more of them!  I've had parrots as pet since I was little, and I've always thought that cockatiels resembled bananas...

I also have other animal/food combinations!
